NewsDog Fouling Warning (01-11-17)
A covert camera has been deployed in Carlton and will record high quality images suitable for use in Court. The camera has been kindly provided and operated by the Borough Council, and is one of a number used to monitor sites for fly tipping and similar offences.
Any dog owner who fails to clean up after their dog and is caught on film will render themselves liable to prosecution.
This final warning follows articles in the last two issues of Carlton News, the delivery of a flyer to every house in the village, and individual warnings to a few irresponsible dog owners.
It is regrettable that these measures should be necessary, but feedback from local residents has told us that the very few individuals who do not pick up after their dogs create a real issue as this is by far the most unacceptable and dirtiest type of litter.
The Parish Council will try to ensure that Carlton remains a clean, safe and pleasant place to live, and trusts that the majority of parishioners will support these measures.
