Coronation tree (05-07-23)A tree to mark the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III was planted in the churchyard at 11am on Saturday 15th July 2023. The new tree is an Amelanchier 'La Paloma'.
The planting was carried out by Claire Harris (nee Gannon) who was a member of the Carlton 1st Brownie Pack who planted two trees in the churchyard to mark the Silver Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The photo below shows Claire standing in front of the copper beech tree she helped plant in 1977.
The planting ceremony was followed by refreshments in the Community Hub.
